Our preschool

We are a friendly and welcoming Preschool. We are operating from three interior rooms and a spacious garden area. We are a sessional preschool open for 38 weeks of the year. (term time only)

 

We are inclusive and welcome all children from their 2nd birthday  & until the term, when they start reception (5).

We support children with English as a second language, children with physical disabilities and additional educational needs. To the best of our abilities, please see our local offer

Our preschool sessions

​

Morning sessions -   Monday - Friday - 9.15 am – 12.15 pm.

Afternoon sessions - Monday - Friday - 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm.

 

We offer funded sessions for all 2/3/4-year-olds.

 

All children aged 3/4 are entitled to 15 hours of universal funding. We also offer extended funding for up to 30 hours depending on availability and eligibility. To see if you are entitled check here:  https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

 

Low-income 2-year-old funding is available, if your child meets the eligible criteria. Further guidance can be found at https://www.essex.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-for-2-year-olds

 

New 2-year-old funding for working parents is available from April 2024 – If you meet the correct criteria. This will be extended to 30 from September 2024. Further guidance can be found at https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

 

For children who are not entitled to funding, or who would like additional sessions the cost is £21.00 per session – increasing to £23.00 per session from September 24 due to an increase in overhead costs.

 

 

Lunchtime session

 

12:15 pm – 1:00 pm. Cost £7.00per session.  This cost can be covered by the extended funding if applicable. A packed lunch will need to be provided by yourself (please do not include fizzy drinks or sweets)

 

Consumable bundle-Sustainability costs

 

A contribution cost of £1 per session is applied for all children (not covered by any funding) – this includes all snacks, all toiletries, nappies, wipes, gloves, disposal of nappies, craft supplies, cooking activities, and malleable supplies.  Summer and Christmas party food, and a Special day out at the end of the summer.

 

Invoice and payments can be made as follows:

 

Invoices will be sent through your Tapestry account - on the 1st of each month and are due within seven days.

 

Payments can also be made by Bacs or cash/card payments within the setting.

 

Uniform

 

We do have our uniform available on request, this is an optional purchase. Please inquire about stock supplies.
